Passive activities to do at your leisure including a DIY station, jigsaw puzzle, scavenger hunt, and guessing jar- all located in the children's department.

NOTE ON END TIMES: The end time of 2:00PM actually only applies to Saturdays because for simplicity’s sake and as a time saver, 2:00 was entered when inputting this event/activity to the calendar for all days of the week when the library is open; however, the library’s hours are as follows: Mon. 9AM-8PM, Tues. & Wed. 9AM-7PM, Thurs. & Fri. 9AM-5PM, and Sat. 9AM-2PM.

There is no registration required for these. Just come on down.

DIY Station

Drop-in programming for all ages. Create a craft project, challenge your brain with activity sheets & puzzles, complete coloring pages and more. Your choice…visit and complete activities or Grab & Go selecting items from the DIY table to take and make at home! (bags provided)

NOTE: The concept of Grab & Go here means that you still need to gather which materials you would like from our selection and ask for a bag to place them in (unless you prefer to bring your own), or you may take your selections to carry by hand if you prefer; we do not have pre-assembled kits or bags ready to go as we leave the choice up to you to pick what you are interested in.

Puzzle Central

Everybody is welcomed to stop by our puzzle table and help us complete our puzzle. Piece it together at Puzzle Central!

Scavenger Hunt 

See if you can locate themed items throughout the Children’s Room. The theme will be changed each month so visit as often as you can and be eligible for a prize! Please note that Scavenger Hunt items are located ONLY in the Children’s Room, and you will be looking for images of Scavenger Hunt items on paper, NOT the actual items themselves. So, look all around, high and low, because you never know where you may find what we stow!  This month you will be searching for six Earth Day-themed pictures!

Guessing Jar

This favorite activity returns with guessing or estimating how many of an object are in a jar located in the children’s department.  Enter as many times as you wish. A prize will be rewarded to whoever comes the closest.
